Munich Airport (IATA: MUC, ICAO: EDDM) is the main international airport serving Munich, the largest city in Bavaria, Germany.


MUC Airport is located 28 km (18 miles) northeast of Munich, in Freising. In fact, it is located inside three municipalities: Oberding, Hallbergmoos and Marzling. It is the second busiest airport in Germany after Frankfurt Airport and the seventh busiest in Europe.

is a hub for Lufthansa. It is also a focus city for Air Dolomiti, Condor, EuroWings, EuroWings Discover and TUI fly Deutschland. 

 

About the name: Munich Airport is named after the former Bavarian minister-president Franz Josef Strauss.
